Keith Allen to explore God TV

Actor Keith Allen is to front a controversial Channel 4 documentary focusing on the British-owned Christian broadcaster God TV.
The 60-minute documentary is being made by Associated Rediffusion and is expected to go out in C4’s 11pm slot later this year.
Indie Rediffusion and Allen previously worked together on Tourettes de France, another C4 documentary looking at people who suffer from the syndrome, which attracted 1.6 m at 10pm on 11 January.
The new documentary has the working title The God Programmeand is a critical look at the channel and its fundraising methods. God TV currently broadcasts on channel 760 on Sky.
The channel was set up in 1995 by Rory and Wendy Alec, who have also recently rolled-out GOD UK in reaction to the terrorist attacks in July 2005 and in response to a vision Wendy had from God who told her: ‘The glory of the lion has departed.’
The God Programme was commissioned by C4 head of entertainment Andrew Newman.
