God TV DOES trouble is it doesn’t work because the UK which initially financed the Station doesn’t tend to go for Word Faith or wall to wall Americanisation. Of course you will always find exceptions such as Trevor Baker in Dudley or the rare rare Churches who they let advertise on the Station. (Churches are regarded as dirty so they won’t let them advertise bringing in funds instead we get never ending Charity ads).
I also find THOUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT DOES USE STATION AND THEM AND GOD WORKS HE IS NOT ALLOWED TO WORK AS HE DOES IN HEALTHY MINISTRIES AND CHURCHES EVEN AMONGST MANY MANY PROBLEMNS.

why cant these preacher practice what they preach on sowing and weeping… gods almighty yes he is why cant they let god give them the seeds they need and you will not to ask for any money no more telthons…

I recently received an email from god tv saying that they are in a critical period and that they need £5 million by the 15th of may but from what i have seen they only have £2 million this time round, imo, people are getting wise to this prosperity gospel of give to god tv and god will give you thousands in return also in these current economic times many people are struggling financially and the Alecs don’t seem to realize this.

It is very difficult to work out how much cash they burn because its organised through various companies and charities in different companies. What we do know is that for the year ended 31st March 2008 they raised over £11M in the UK alone and attracted over £1M in funding from the British government through their use of the gift aid scheme: How the British tax payer is funding Televangelists

The trouble with God TV and those of their ilk is that they don’t listen, there is only one point of view, and there is a Yes Club grovelling around them with NO CRITICAL INPUT.
Hence blogs. Wendy Alec does not want the Viewers, Partners and Friends of God TV to read the blogs as they might revise their good ideas.
In theory I agree in NORMAL circumstances I agree; in abnormal places like Joyner and God TV one has no choice to blog/take independent action/ be unreachable to them etc etc. (and horribly independent resisting even friendly stuff!!)

If we have a complaint as believers, we should first take it up with the subject of the problem. I wrote to the Alecs complaining about Mr S Munsey’s demonstrably false use of the Bible. I gave them a detailed transcript of where he adds materially and significantly to what the Bible actually says in Isaiah 38, claiming “It’s in the Bible, It’s in the Bible……”. Their response has been “zero” and Munsey is rescheduled in their extended “Missions Week” prime-time programming through April 09 as they panic with only 50% of what they need in the bank. Clearly GOD TV does not see itself as accountable to anyone – even God – that’s brave – very brave and ultimately very stupid – Be afraid, be very afraid GOD TV – God is never mocked!!!!

God TV receives substantial funding from the UK taxpayer through Gift Aid despite them not being under UK broadcasting regulation (which would prevent them doing this type of fundrasiing in the first place). See my article here: How the British tax payer is funding Televangelists

This is a letter I sent to Godtv (I’m not expecting a reply)

Here I am tuning into GodTV for the first time in about half a year to see if Godtv had learnt from the past, using sensationalist speakers and the Word of Faith in faith American gluttons, but no.

We are asked to give money and expect OR DARE TO AUTHORIZE God to give it back. When has giving to Children in Need for example ever resorted to this sort of selfish giving, an unbiblical practice of expecting God to give WHAT WE WANT (money as always) back and not spiritual blessings or whatever God chooses to give?

“What has man ever given that God should repay him?” – Job 41:11

Now GodTV has changed into the Word of Faith in Fatih show using American speakers such as Benny Hinn (I don’t want gold in heaven, I want it now’, Copeland (I am a god) , Hagee (‘Jesus was rich, Jesus never said he was messiah to the jews’ heresy.’)

As a biblical, laying down my life Christian I am disgusted with what you are feeding the ‘flock’, truth mixed with lies. If you build with earthly things God will destroy it.

I pray God will bless you and I hope to see biblical fruit, but the doctrines of Godtv are so anti Jesus’s message of laying down your life and not desiring to be wealthy as it’s a snare, I am not to sure.

oh dear! may i please say to martina with all due respect…that god.tv are only interested in your money…FACT!
they are not concered that their “partners” are losing jobs, money, peace of mind (and it will be their fault too as they have not shown enough faith)…in fact it would be nice if they were to give to those “partners” that are really in need at this time instead of chasing expensive pizza dreams and ego trips in the name of god. disgrace!!! i have been involved with this type of church movement to my shame and its obsession with money and power is shocking, though very cleverly disguised as a “noble” thing.
i have no doubt that god supplies needs, but this is nothing more than a protection racket and it is going to get worse as the days pass by.
what this site is doing is promoting the kingdom of god by warning those (like me) about such things. they are probably the minority but that does not mean that what they say is not correct.
if you wish to part with your hard earned money to fund anothers ego-trip then go ahead…you have been warned!
